Tsinghua University (China) ranked first in Asia for the fourth consecutive year, according to THE ranking.

The Asian University Rankings are published by Times Higher Education (THE) every June. This year, the top seven positions remain the same as last year, including Tsinghua and Beijing Universities (China), National University of Singapore, University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong), Nanyang Technology (Singapore). ), Tokyo (Japan) and Zhongwen Hong Kong (Hong Kong). However, the evaluation scores of the schools all increased.

For the fourth year in a row, ranked first in Asia, Tsinghua University achieved a total score of 87.6 out of 100, an increase of 2.7 points. This level is given after THE assessed a set of criteria with 13 indicators in 5 groups including: teaching (25%), research (30%), citation (30%), income from knowledge transfer. and technology (7.5%) and international outlook (7.5%).

Founded in 1911, Tsinghua University is one of the most elite schools in China, accepting only students who score top in national exams. The university offers 51 undergraduate programs and over 200 graduate degrees.

In addition to a highly regarded teaching and learning environment, Tsinghua University has strengths in scientific research. This is also reflected in THE's assessment scoreboard with a score for the research criterion group of 95.6, citations of 86.8 and income from knowledge and technology transfer reaching an absolute - 100.

In the top 10, in addition to the seven leading positions remaining the same as in 2021, the remaining three positions belong to Seoul National University (Korea), Hong Kong Science and Technology, and Fudan (China). In it, two representatives of Korea and Hong Kong switched positions. Fudan University rose one place from last year to join the top 10, replacing Japan's Kyoto school.
